frequently asked questions

How can you help with decluttering?
Many people feel overwhelmed when belongings have built up, but I can support you to get organised, and feel more empowered about the process. On a practical level- many hands make light work, and having someone else to help keeps the momentum going and means you see results more quickly.

What happens during a decluttering session?
We can start in whichever room you'd like, and work though together by creating a Keep, Go and a Maybe pile (sorting through the Maybe pile at the end). The Go pile can be thrown away, re-cycled, sold or donated to charity. The things you've decided to keep will be put away or displayed.

Will you make me throw away important things?
I won't try to persuade you to throw away anything that is important, or has strong sentimental value. I understand that the process can be emotionally loaded, and it's important to me to be sensitive to that.

I'm embarrassed for you to see my home.
Don't worry- I have visited many different homes, and am completely non-judgmental.

How can you help with organisation?
My background is in spacial design, so we can discuss how you use a particular space, and I can create systems that work for you in that area e.g: kitchen/ laundry room/ wardrobes/ storage rooms.

Will I need to buy extra storage?
After we have completed some decluttering, often clients don't need to buy extra storage, but this will become clear as we progress. If you do, I can help you choose something appropriate.
